| 1. Dance : Wendell Cooper is a dance artist currently based in Brooklyn, NY. Originally from Pittsburgh, his roots are in improvised urban dance styles yet much of his work is in choreography and experimental performance. His urban dance style draws from African and Native American traditional dance, break dance, house, and contemporary modern. While studying at the George Washington University, he focused on the synthesis of contemporary dance, urban dance, and mysticism. As a choreographer and improviser, Wendell creates solo works and often collaborates. Also a practitioner of energy-bodywork and a teacher of meditation, his work has echoes of traditional dance. The Light Body lineage and other meditation studies have greatly influenced his process for creating art, as well as expanding consciousness in improvisation and performance. Together with Mathew Heggem (www.matheggem.com) he is developing techniques for direct transmission of expanded states of consciousness through live art. Throughout the year he presents work in festivals and curates events; venues include nightclubs, apartments, theaters, and galleries. Recent performances include the Gloucester New Arts Festival (MA), the Soundscape Movement Festival (NC), the Capital Fringe Festival (DC), and Sublet Series (NYC). 2. BODYWORK : These processes for healing with energy and light are based in an awareness of interconnectedness of all life. From this perspective, the term "healing" denotes an evolution of consciousness beyond overcoming symptoms. Here healing refers to bringing awareness to the deep well of life within. 3. MEDITATION : Your light body is an energy body that is closer to your soul than your chakras. You have ten energy body centers that power and make up your light body. Generational Karma refers to the many layers of energetic flow that are an aspect of your energy field when you incarnate as a human being on Earth.
